POKHARA, Nov 10: The Kaski District Court extended the judicial remand for the chairman of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane by an additional 13 days.
On Sunday, the court decided that former Home Minister Lamichhane, who was arrested in a co-operative fraud case from the party headquarter on October 18, to be kept in custody for 13 more days for investigation. This is the fourth time the court has allowed an extension to the judicial custody of Lamichhane.
Court extends Durga Prasai’s judicial remand by four days
After the arrest, Lamichhane was presented at the court for the first time on October 20 when he was put in judicial custody for six days. On October 26, seven days were added to his remand with another 10 days added on November 5.
Lamichahne was produced in the court on Sunday after the extended deadline of November 10 expired. Court sources informed that on Sunday, the bench of Judge Navraj Dahal ordered to extend the deadline of the judicial custody by 13 days.
