KATHMANDU, Jan 16: QFX Cinemas has announced that it will ban children below 2.5 feet from entering the company’s cinema halls. In a notice issued on Wednesday, QFX Cinemas said that children below 2.5 feet will not be allowed to enter its cinema halls across the country.
Considering the health of young children and the entertainment environment inside the movie hall, Sulav Kakshapati, head of marketing at QFX Cinemas, said that children up to 2.5 feet are prohibited to enter the theaters.

“The decision to prohibit entry was made because there is a problem with the air inside the cinema hall, and the dark environment affects young children,” he said, “There have been complaints from other audiences that the entertainment inside the theater is disrupted when infants are brought into the cinema hall.”
QFX Cinemas said that the fixed ticket rates will be applicable for everyone from children to grown-up people entering the halls to watch a movie. “The specified ticket rate will be applicable to all the audience from old to children to watch the movie,” QFX Cinemas has mentioned in the notice, “Children up to 2.5 feet are prohibited from entering the cinema halls.”
Earlier, in mid-November, FCube Cinemas in KL Tower also issued a notice stating that children up to three years of age are prohibited from entering the cinema hall. “In order to ensure a comfortable and peaceful environment for the audience, children under the age of three are prohibited from entering the cinema hall,” Fcube Cinemas said in the notice.
