Following a cabinet decision of April 11, the Government had acquired around 6 bigaha of the land from the rice mill at Gaur Municipality-7.
The office registered 16 kathha of the land under the ownership of Krishna Sharma, a permanent resident of Birgunj Municipality-4 on April.
The land worth around Rs 15 million was registered under Sharma’s name with the help of fake documents, according to local CPN-UML leader Rewant Jha.
Jha claimed Chief Officer Rokka urged his staff Ramesh Chaudhary, who is going to retire soon, to prepare the file of fake documents and register the land under Sharma’s name.
