BIRATNAGAR, Feb 5: The main opposition party, the CPN-UML, has accused the government of Province 1 of being involved in a feud regarding splitting ministries between the ministers. On Friday, the CPN-UML Parliamentary Party held a press conference and accused the provincial government of being involved in a tussle of splitting the ministries even three months after the formation of the five-party coalition government.

CPN-UML Parliamentary Party leader of Province 1 and former Chief Minister Bhim Acharya said that the province government has not been able to do anything even after three months of its formation due to the squabble between the ministry and Ministers. He said, "The government is unaware of the problems of the people. The presence of the government is nowhere to be seen as the farmers are struggling as they are not getting any fertilizer. While the people are losing their lives due to COVID-19, the government has become a mute spectator.”

Acharya said that the government was working to destroy the foundations of development and prosperity prepared by the previous government.

Similarly, Acharya clarified that the opposition UML would strongly oppose the splitting of the ministries to 12. He said, "We strongly oppose any attempt to increase wasteful expenditure by dividing ministries for the sake of distribution, leaving behind development and addressing the problems of the people."
