Prez undergoes cataract surgery

KATHMANDU: President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav underwent a surgery to remove cataract from his left eye on Sunday. Senior opthalmologist Dr. Dev Narayan Shah performed the surgery on the president at B P Koirala Lions Centre for Ophthalmic Studies in Maharajgunj, according to the President’s secretariat.

"The surgery took place from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.," said Ramesh Acharya, an official at the center.
