Missing motorcyclist’s body found

Rana, 27, had been missing since February 14 after his motorcycle plunged into the Trishuli River along the Narayanghat-Kathmandu road section.

KATHMANDU, Feb 23: Missing motorcyclist Rohit Rana's body was discovered this morning, nine days after he fell into the Trishuli River in Chitwan and went missing.


According to the Area Police Office, Muglin, his body was found near Kali Khola in Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality-5 of Chitwan along the Narayanghat-Mugling road section. Rana, 27, had been missing since February 14 after his motorcycle plunged into the Trishuli River along the Narayanghat-Kathmandu road section.

The Area Police Office said that Rana’s body has now been taken to Bharatpur Hospital for postmortem. Rana, originally hailing from Rampur, Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1, Chitwan, had left Rampur alone for Kathmandu on a motorcycle (Ba Pra-06-02 Pa 9204).


On February 14, the motorcycle crashed into a road-divider and the rider fell into the Trishuli River and went missing. Police said that the body was found 100 meters away from the spot where he fell. However, the motorcycle was on the road.
