President Dr Dadav is attending the convocation ceremony of Banaras Hindu University along with Indian President Mukharjee as a guest on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.[break]
President Dr Yadav is scheduled to receive the title of honorary D. Litt. from the University.
Similarly, he is scheduled to hold discussions with Indian President Mukharjee and Prime Minister Dr Man Mohan Singh in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Likewise, President Dr Yadav would attend a dinner to be hosted by Indian Prime Minister Singh.
According to Ministry of the Foreign Affairs, President Dr Yadav would hold meeting with Indian Vice-President, senior ministers, chief of united progressive alliance, opposition leaders including others.
During his visit, the President would visit the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for the regular health check-up.
Likewise, he would attend a function to be organized by the Nepalese Embassy, New Delhi.
President Dr Yadav is accompanied by his daughter Anita Yadav, Minister Mahendra Yadav, advisor duo Rajendra Dahal and Hari Sharma, personal secretary Lalit Basnet, secretary at the Office of the President and chief of protocol and other top government officials.
The President was seen off by Vice-President Parmananda Jha, Prime Minister Dr Baburam Bhattarai, Deputy Prime Minister Narayankaji Shrestha, Chief Secretary Lila Mani Poudyal and other government officials at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
On the occasion, a contingent of Nepal Army accorded a guard of honour and 21-gun salute to the President.
The President is returning home on December 29, Saturday.
