President, PM wishes British monarch

KATHMANDU, April 21: President Ram Baran Yadav has extended best wishes to Queen Elizabeth the Second of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland for her personal health and happiness on the occasion of her birthday.

In a message to Queen Elizabeth the Second on Tuesday, President Yadav also wished for the progress and prosperity of the people of the United Kingdom.


Similarly, Prime Minister Sushil Koirala sent a message to David William Donald Cameron, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and on the behalf of the government and Nepali people, wished Queen Elizabeth the Second for her good health and happiness on her birthday.

In the message, Prime Minister Koirala said, "I am confident that the long standing cordial and friendly relations, so happily subsisting between our two countries and peoples, will grow from strength to strength in the years to come."
