KATHMANDU, Oct 10: President Ram Chandra Paudel participated in the Phulpati parade ceremony organized by the Nepali Army on the occasion of Phulpati as part of the Bada Dashain festival.


First Lady Sabita Paudel also participated in the ceremony. On the occasion, President Paudel was honored with a salute by the Nepali Army. President Paudel is the Supreme Commander of the Nepali Army.

At the ‘Phulpati Badai’ ceremony held on Thursday at the Army Pavilion in Tundikhel, the Nepali Army performed various military parades.


On the occasion, flower petals were showered from a military helicopter. The national anthem and various tunes were performed. Additionally, the Nepali Army presented impressive displays with rifles, along with an artillery display.


Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Chief Justice Prakash Man Singh Raut, Speaker Devraj Ghimire, Chairman of the National Assembly Narayan Prasad Dahal, Deputy Prime Minister, Ministers, MPs, heads of constitutional bodies, heads and representatives of foreign diplomatic missions in Nepal, high-ranking government employees and various sectors of society were present at the ceremony.
