KATHMANDU, Oct 8: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will operate flights from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa on the day of Phulpati.
Due to damage to road infrastructure across the country caused by monsoon-related disasters, the NAC has decided to operate flights from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa and back with the help of its narrow body aircraft to facilitate citizens during the festive season.

To provide convenience for travel, the NAC has announced that it will conduct a rescue flight from Kathmandu on the day of Phulpati ( i.e. October 10).
According to the NAC's Executive Chairman, Ubaraj Adhikari, flight number RA-1733 will depart from Kathmandu to Bhairahawa at 11 AM, with a one-way fare set at Rs 7,000. He also mentioned that passengers will be allowed to carry 30 kg of luggage on the aircraft.
Similarly, on the same day, flight number RA-1743 will depart from Bhairahawa to Kathmandu at 12:30 PM, with a fare set at Rs 3,800. The NAC stated that passengers can purchase tickets online through the corporation's internal sales office, its website (www.nepalairlines.com.np), or via their mobile phones.
Due to continuous rainfall, the highways in and out of the Kathmandu Valley have been damaged by floods and landslides, making land transportation difficult. In this situation, the corporation's Executive Chairman Adhikari stated that they are providing services for Phulpati during the festival to facilitate travel to and from people's homes in their respective districts for the Dashain festival.
