Prepossessing Panch Pokhari

Prepossessing Panch Pokhari

Nature is considered as the divinest gift of the creator. One of these notable gifts of nature on earth is Panch Pokhari. Nestled in the Himalayas and breathing-taking landscapes, it is equally blessed with religious and cultural values. Located at Panch Pokhari rural municipality ward no. 3 of Bhotang, Sindhupalchok the pond is located at 4,200m above the sea level.

The destination is a major attraction for visitors during the day of Janaipurnima. Followers from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Kavrepalanchok and other various districts pay their visit at the pond on the day.

Rested in the lap of Jugal and Dorje Lhakpa Himal, the pond enthralls its viewers by reflecting itself in turquoise blue, white and black textures throughout the day. The water sources cascading down from the rocks and the reflection of snow-capped mountains add to its evergreen beauty.

This touristic spot is enlisted as one among the to-be-promoted and developed 100 destinations issued by the Nepal Government in 2018. The journey starts all the way from Kathmandu to Melamchi ending at Bhotang the first day. After trekking for 10 to 12 hours, the next day comes to an end at Nhoshyam Pati which is located at 39,00m above the sea level. With four hours of trek further, Panch Pokhari is finally reached on the third day.
