KATHMANDU, Feb 16: Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Dilendra Prasad Badu said that preparations are being made to table the US-funded Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC) compact agreement in parliament for ratifications. He shared that the MCC grant deal will be tabled in parliament after reaching an agreement among the political parties.
Talking to media persons after today’s parliament meeting, Minister Badu shared that MCC should be tabled at parliament to settle the disputes and debates that have broken out across the streets regarding the grant agreement.

“Our goal is to table the MCC in parliament and discuss it. The project will be tabled at the next meeting as the political parties need more time to discuss MCC,” Minister Badu said.
The next parliament meeting has been called for February 18. Similarly, the leaders of ruling alliance are scheduled to meet tomorrow afternoon.
