Premier ´C´ defeated Golden Gate ´A´ 21-19 in the semifinal match played at the National Sports Council Covered Hall on Thursday.[break]
Premier ´C´ scored 13 points in the first period of the match against 11 points of Golden Gate ´A´. The second period finished at 8-8 and the host booked the berth for final.
Likewise, Golden Gate ´B´ edged past South Siders 12-8 in the second semifinal to reach final. Golden Gate took the lead in the first period with the score of 8-6 and maintained the lead in the second period with the score of 4-2.
Meanwhile, Golden Gate and Prime College reached the final of the women´s category in the tournament organized by Nepal Basketball Association (NeBA).
Golden Gate struggled past NASA College 17-16 in the semifinal. Golden Gate took the lead in the first period scoring 11 points against seven points. NASA bounced back in the second period and scored nine points against six points by Golden Gate but it was not enough to win the thriller.
Likewise, Prime thrashed Morgan 15-5. Prime dominated both periods of the match with the scores of 8-2 and 7-3.
Both the finals of the tournament will be played on Friday at the National Sports Council Covered Hall.
