Dr Pokharel said that both European and American predictions indicate the possibility of rain on the two days. There is a possibility of rain at more locations on Monday compared to Sunday. The rain is likely to occur in the districts of Koshi Province on Sunday and in Madhesh, Bagmati and Gandaki provinces on Monday, he said.
However, the rain is not expected to be as heavy as during the monsoon season. Therefore, there will be no significant impact on travel. From Monday onward, the weather is forecast to be clear after the rains and is likely to reduce pollution and lower winter temperatures.
