KHOTANG, April 23: The parties in the district have expressed joint commitment to hold the upcoming local polls in a friendly environment.
At the interaction program organized at the building of District Coordination Committee on Saturday, the leaders of the main parties said they had collective responsibility to make the upcoming local polls successful, describing the election as the instrument to solve the whole problem of the country.

Speaking at the pogram, Shanti Prasad Acharya, District justice, who is also Chief Returning Officer, called on political parties to remain patient.
Ichchhuram Rana, Secretary of Nepali Congress District Committee in Khotang district, expressed the view that his party was ready to play a pivotal role in ensuring that the local election is held in a fearless environment.
Likewise, district level leaders belonging to different political parties including CPN(Maoist Center) and CPN-UML affirmed their commitment to peaceful election.
