KATHMANDU, Sept 16: A police team, accompanied by a skilled canine, has initiated an inquiry into the tragic murder of four people that unfolded late last night in Gairigaun, Tinkune, Kathmandu.
Additional Inspector General of Police Deepak Thapa, who is also the head of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, said that a collaborative effort is underway involving the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, and the District Police Range Kathmandu, as they diligently pursue leads in the case.
AIG Thapa further disclosed that police personnel have been strategically deployed at all key entry points within the Kathmandu metropolitan area as part of their investigative efforts.

According to the police, a 28-year-old Dipendra Rai, a resident of Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32, Tinkune, has been taken into custody for interrogation.
Four people, including three from the same family, were killed last night in Gairigaun, Tinkune in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-32. The lifeless bodies of two men and two women were discovered within the premises of the Divya Saw Mill located in Tinkune last night at around 11:55 PM.
The victims were 56-year-old Kumar Bhujel employed as a security guard at a wood mill; his wife, 52-year-old Ambika Bhujel; Kumar's mother, Shubhadra Bhujel, aged 76; and 20-year-old Nabin Rai, who originally hails from Belbari in Morang district.
It is learnt that Dibya Saw Mill is operated by Bal Krishna Shiwakoti, a resident of Dolakha, Kalinchowk. He currently resides in Gaushala.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the deceased have been sent to the TU Teaching Hospital for post-mortem examinations.
