Police released her on bail Tuesday, afternoon. The arrest of Raut created a buzz on social media like a wildfire. Several people outraged on social media and other platforms for arresting Raut. People started stating that this was a misuse of administration and legal authority, creating a huge public pressure.
Raut voluntarily surrendered herself at the police station on Monday morning, where Metropolitan Police Office, Kathmandu requested for extension of her detention, to the District Administration Office through an attorney.
Woman police lodged a complaint against Raut at the Tribhuvan Airport security for being rude during a security checking process. Meanwhile, Raut reacted to the incident by uploading a reaction video on her Facebook account, which she later removed. CCTV footage of the airport episode has also been made public.
