On Monday evening, policeman Sanjeev Verma was killed in clash with the protesters. Two protesters were also injured during the incident.
The stone crushing workers and entrepreneurs had disrupted traffic protesting tax while exporting to India.
The protesters said they have opened the highway for the cause of stranded travelers and would continue disruptions from Wednesday morning.
