Police, MMC face fines

KATHMANDU, March 28: The disciplinary committee of All Nepal Football Association has imposed cash fines on Nepal Police Club and Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC) citing bad conduct of their supporters during the super league matches of Martyrs Memorial Red Bull A Division League.



Police has been fined Rs 150,000 and MMC Rs 38,000. [break]



Police fans had broken the chairs at VIP parapet and hurled them toward the ground during their match against Nepal Army Club played on March 22. Army had won the match 1-0.



Similarly, MMC supporters had committed similar offences after the completion of its match against Three Star Club on March 19. The match had ended on 1-1 draw.



A press statement issued by ANFA states that Police supporters had broken 75 seats of the parapet and MMC supporters had broken 19 seats.
