POKHARA, Jan 10: In a bid to uplift the tourism industry hard hit by the pandemic, Pokhara is offering a discount of up to 50 percent to tourists flying in its sky.
Visitors flying in Ultra Light Flights and gyrocopters in the sky of Pokhara can now enjoy discounts up to 50 percent.
Tourism agencies announce discount offers in view of Visit Year
Tourism entrepreneurs in Pokhara made the decision to this effect in a bid to attract domestic tourists.
Santa Bahadur Lamichhane, managing director of Heli Air Nepal, said that the tourism entrepreneurs are compelled to introduce discounted schemes. “In normal days, riders had to pay up to Rs 13,000 for 15 minutes of Gyrocopter flights. But we are offering the same service for Rs 6, 500,” he added. Likewise, the riders had to pay Rs 23,000 and Rs 43,000 for 30 minutes (Fishtail) and 1 hour (Annapurna) of flight respectively which has now been reduced to Rs 11,500 and Rs 21,500 respectively.
Similarly, Ultra Light Flight operators have also reduced the price of ride from Rs 38,000 to Rs 19,000 for an hour of flight, Rs 20,000 to Rs 9,500 for 30 minutes of flight and Rs 11,000 to Rs 5,500 for 15 minutes of flight, according to Pom Narayan Shrestha, operator of Ultra Light Flights in Pokhara.
