KATHMANDU, Feb 15: Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) has launched a scheme targeting students. The NAC has introduced a 25 percent discount on domestic flights for students up to 25 years of age.
According to NAC Spokesperson Ramesh Paudel, to get this offer, students will have to submit their identity cards and birth certificates at the NAC's domestic ticket sales room.

Paudel said that apart from this, the NAC has offered a 50 percent airfare discount to the disabled and senior citizens in the domestic sector and a 100 percent discount for cancer patients going abroad for treatment.
The NAC is currently operating 25 weekly flights to 16 destinations through two TwinOtter aircraft. On the other hand, the national flag-carrier has been providing international aviation services through three of the total four aircraft including Airbus-A320 and Airbus-A330.
The company's aircraft with the call sign 9N-AKX has been grounded for more than two months. The aircraft with engine problems has been sent to Israel for repair. It is not known yet as to when this aircraft will be back into operation.
