PM’s Q&A session with lawmakers postponed; Home Minister to brief HoR on flood

KATHMANDU, Aug 26: A question-and-answer session with Prime Minister Balendra Shah scheduled for Wednesday’s House of Representatives meeting has been postponed amid the devastating flash flood in Rasuwa and damage caused by floods in several districts.



The parliamentary session will instead hear from Minister for Home Affairs Sudan Gurung, who is expected to brief lawmakers on the Bhotekoshi flood and the government’s search, rescue and relief efforts following the disaster.

According to the Federal Parliament Secretariat, Gurung will provide an update on the situation and the measures taken by the government to respond to the flooding.
