HoR meeting postponed following RSP's opposition

KATHMANDU, June 9: The House of Representatives (HoR) meeting was unexpectedly postponed today following the opposition raised by lawmakers of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RSP). The RSP lawmakers expressed their discontent with the absence of Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat during the budget discussion.

KATHMANDU, June 9: The House of Representatives (HoR) meeting was unexpectedly postponed today following the opposition raised by lawmakers of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RSP). The RSP lawmakers expressed their discontent with the absence of Finance Minister Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat during the budget discussion.


During the session, RSP lawmakers stood up from their seats in protest, demanding the presence of Finance Minister Dr Mahat in the budget deliberations. In response, Speaker Devraj Ghimire adjourned the meeting for a duration of 15 minutes.

Speaker Ghimire informed the attendees about the adjournment, citing the concerns of RSP lawmakers regarding the Finance Minister's absence during the budget discussion. Meanwhile, Finance Minister Dr Mahat was engaged in a session at the National Assembly.
