KATHMANDU, Aug 28: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has directed the Home Secretary to grant citizenship to Prakash Tamang of ‘Herne Katha’ YouTube channel.

After watching the story of Prakash in the ‘Herne Katha’ channel, PM Oli directed the Home Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal to take prompt initiatives to provide him citizenship.
PM Oli has written on social media, "Only if he has a citizenship certificate can his bank account be opened and he can receive assistance from those willing to help. I spoke with Home Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal at 10 PM regarding fast-tracking the citizenship process for Prakash. Aryal has arranged to facilitate Prakash to get citizenship within a couple of days and this information has also been provided to Prakash. We have also discussed providing the necessary support to Prakash after obtaining citizenship.”
