Prakash Tamang of ‘Herne Katha’ granted citizenship

KATHMANDU, Sept 1: Prakash Tamang who was featured in 'Herne Katha,' has received his citizenship certificate.


On Sunday, administrative officials visited Prakash's home in Chaplegau (Sampang), Shadananda Municipality-10, Bhojpur, to deliver his citizenship certificate.

It has been reported that Prakash was granted citizenship after establishing his relationship with his parents and completing the birth registration paperwork.


Prakash was awarded his citizenship certificate in the presence of Shadananda Municipality Mayor Surendra Udasi, Ward Chairman Prem Dorji Sherpa, Chief of the Area Administration Office Binod Gyawali, and Chief Executive Officer of the Municipality Mohan Chapagain.             


Earlier, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli directed the Home Secretary to grant citizenship to Prakash Tamang of ‘Herne Katha’ YouTube channel. After watching the story of Prakash in the ‘Herne Katha’ channel, PM Oli directed the Home Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal to take prompt initiatives to provide him citizenship.
