PM Oli departs for China on four-day official visit

The PM’s delegation includes 46 members from the government sector and 32 from the private sector, making a total of 78 participants.

KATHMANDU, Dec 2: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has left for China on a four-day official visit.


In response to the friendly invitation of his Chinese counterpart Li Qiang, the PM Oli-led team has departed for Beijing. PM Oli flew on a special chartered flight of Himalaya Airlines at 11 this morning. His team will reach Beijing at 6:10 pm.

Oli’s Chinese counterpart Qiang is scheduled to welcome PM Oli on December 3. Following that, bilateral talks and a signing ceremony will take place between them. On the same day, PM Oli will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping. He will also meet the chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China, Zhao Leji.


On December 4, PM Oli will deliver a keynote speech at Peking University and will address the Nepal-China Business Forum, which is jointly organized by the Embassy of Nepal in Beijing, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce & Industry. Prime Minister Oli will return home on December 5 at 2:30 pm.
