PM Nepal leaves for Bhutan

KATHMANDU, April 27: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal left for Thimphu, Bhutan, on Tuesday to attend the 16th Summit of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).



PM Nepal is scheduled to address the inaugural session of the 16th Meeting of Heads of State of SAARC in Thimphu on Wednesday. He will also attend the Summit Retreat at the Bhutan House in Thimphu´s SAARC Village Thursday.[break]



Pakistan’s Prime Minister Yusus Raza Gilani, who arrived Kathmandu on Monday, left with PM Nepal.



PM Nepal is accompanied by his spouse Gayatri Nepal, foreign affairs advisor Rajan Bhattarai, National Planning Commission (NPC) member Dinesh Devkota, Nepali ambassador to Bhutan Rukma Shumser J.B. Rana, Constituent Assembly (CA) member Ajay Chaurasia, and other officials.



Deputy Prime Minister and foreign minister Sujata Koirala is already in Thimpu. The Nepali delegation is scheduled to return on Friday.
