PM informs Speaker on tabling govt's policies, programs in parliament

KATHMANDU, May 16: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Dev Raj Ghimire, held a meeting on Tuesday. At the meeting that took place at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar, the PM and Speaker discussed making the HoR’s business effective.

KATHMANDU, May 16: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Speaker of the House of Representatives (HoR), Dev Raj Ghimire, held a meeting on Tuesday. At the meeting that took place at the Prime Minister's residence in Baluwatar, the PM and Speaker discussed making the HoR’s business effective.


On the occasion, PM Dahal informed Speaker Ghimire about the government's preparations to present its policies and programs in a joint sitting of the Federal Parliament on May 19. He also expressed happiness over the various parliamentary committees holding their meetings from today.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister said the Speaker is expected to play a role in moving ahead in a procedural manner the bills that have been tabled in the House, PM Dahal's Secretariat stated.
