KATMANDU, Jan 2: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal will take the vote of confidence in the Parliament on January 7. Dahal, who was appointed as Prime Minister on December 25, took the oath of Prime Minister on December 26.
Dahal was appointed as Prime Minister with the support of 169 parliamentarians including UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Janta Samajwadi Party (JSP), Janmat Party, Nagarik Unmukti Party and 3 independent lawmakers, according to Article 76(2) of the Constitution of Nepal.
PM Dahal to take vote of confidence on March 22
Prime Minister Dahal has registered a letter to the Federal Parliament Secretariat to put the issue of confidence vote on the agenda of the parliament on January 7.
The first meeting of the House of Representatives is going to be held on January 9. Dahal is going to take the vote of confidence a day after the new house session commences.
