KATHMANDU, Sept 28: A school in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality in Kathmandu has resumed physical classes after the hiatus of seven months due to the lockdown enforced by the government to contain the spread of COVID-19.

Trikon Public School of the municipality resumed physical classes after the seven months following health safety guidelines issued by the government. The school has made it mandatory for students to use face masks, maintain social distancing, and undergo body temperature check-up before entering the school. They are required to use a face mask and maintain social distancing while staying within the school premises.

Likewise, the school has conducted classes in two shifts a day in a bid to prevent the congestion of students.

The Trikon Public School has become the first school after the lockdown to resume physical classes in Kathmandu Valley. 

Amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, most private and government-owned schools are struggling to resume their classes. A few schools with access to the internet and other resources have conducted online classes since a few months ago, while most others have remained closed for months in Kathmandu Valley as well.
