PHC seeks complaint against proposed chiefs of constitutional bodies

KATHMANDU, Feb 3: The Parliamentary Hearing Committee has sought for complaints against the five chairpersons of constitutional bodies despite discontent from the Nepali Congress, the main opposition. Nepali Congress had handed over a note of dissent against the PHC’s decision to recommend five chairpersons in its absence. 

The PHC has given 10 days time for the same.  

The PHC has recommended Balananda Paudel for Natural Resource and Fiscal Commission; Shanta Raj Subedi for National Inclusive Commission; Bishnu Kumar Chaudhary for Tharu Commission; Dr. Bijaya Kumar Dutta for Madheshi Commission and Samim Ansari for Muslim Commission last month.
