Pfizer vaccine being administered to people above 12 and those with chronic illness

KATHMANDU, Nov 14: The government has initiated the campaign to administer Pfizer vaccines to people above the age of 12 and those who are suffering from chronic illnesses.

KATHMANDU, Nov 14: The government has initiated the campaign to administer Pfizer vaccines to people above the age of 12 and those who are suffering from chronic illnesses. The campaign to administer the first dose of the vaccine against COVID-19 will continue till November 20. 


The government has designated 24 hospitals across the country to administer the vaccines. The Pfizer vaccines will only be administered in the hospitals designated by the government. 


People with chronic illness must carry their document regarding their illness and a recommendation letter from their doctor concerned. The second dose of the vaccines will be administered from December 13 till December 17.

*People above 12 years of age and those affected with chronic illnesses.


*Patients with heart disease (those who have recently undergone operation and those currently under prescribed medication). 


*People who have had kidney problems or had transplants and are under medication


*People who are suffering from any kind of cancer-related illness and have undergone an operation. 


*People with long-term medication for chest-related problems. 


*People who have undergone organ transplants. 


*People with high blood pressure.
