KATHMANDU, Nov 10: The government has announced to administer Pfizer vaccines to people above the age of 12 who have not been vaccinated and people with chronic illnesses as well.
The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has decided to start administering the first dose of the vaccine from November 14 to November 20. Similarly, the second dose of the vaccine will be distributed from December 13 to December 17.

The vaccines can be administered to people who are taking medicines, have gone through kidney surgeries, cancer patients, people with lung problems, diabetes and blood pressure, low immunity, among other illnesses.
The MoHP has designated 24 hospitals for the distribution of the vaccines to people above 12 years of age. People can receive their shots at Bir Hospital, Birendra Military Hospital, Civil Hospital (Baneshwor), TU Hospital, Gangalal National Heart Center (Bansbari), Patan Hospital, Bhaktapur Cancer Hospital, and Human Organ Transplant Hospital.
In Province 1, the ministry has designated Mechi Provincial Hospital (Bhadrapur), BP Koirala Institute of Health and Science (Dharan), Koshi Hospital (Biratnagar) to distribute the vaccines. Likewise, vaccines will be administered at Gajendra Narayan Singh Hospital (Raj Biraj), Narayani Provincial Hospital (Birgunj), and Janakpur Provincial Hospital (Janakpurdham) for people of Province 2.
People in Bagmati Province can receive the vaccine jabs at BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital (Bharatpur) and Dhulikhel Hospital, while Pokhara Institute of Health and Sciences and Dhaulagiri Hospital (Baglung) have been designated for Gandaki Province. In Lumbini Province, vaccines will be administered in Lumbini Provincial Hospital (Butwal), Rapti Institute of Health and Science (Dang), and Bheri Hospital (Nepalgunj). In Sudurpaschim Province, the MoHP has designated Karnali Provincial Hospital, Seti Provincial Hospital, and Dadeldhura Hospital for the distribution of the vaccines.
