Paudel camp unhappy for being excluded from cabinet

KATHMANDU, June 7: Nepali Congress senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel turned up at the swearing in ceremony following Deuba’s request at the eleventh hour over the telephone.


Paudel reached Sheetal Niwas 10 minutes before the oath taking ceremony kicked off. Paudel camp has expressed dissatisfaction saying that the cabinet was formed without prior discussion in the party.

Deuba has picked all the ministers from his camp so far, none from the Paudel camp.


A meeting held on Wednesday morning had decided to abstain the oath taking ceremony and not to recommend any ministers.


Paudel had reached Sheetal Niwas after Deuba urged assured him of resolving intra-party grievances and convinced him that it would send negative messages across the political spectrum if he remained absent in the event.
