Parties to settle issue of removing constitutional difficulties by Tuesday

KATHMANDU, March 3: A meeting of the top leaders of the major political forces -- UCPN (Maoist), Nepali Congress, CPN-UML and the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF) -- held at Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar, decided to finalize the matters related to removing the constitutional difficulties by March 5.



Emerging from the meeting, Chairman of Terai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) Mahantha Thakur informed reporters that they discussed on finalizing the issue of removing constitutional difficulties by coming Tuesday and appointing CJ as new government head within 24 hours of the deal.[break]



According to Thakur, today’s meeting of the top leaders also discussed the issues relating to the formation of Truth and Reconciliation Commission, citizenship certificates and voters´ registration but failed to reach any conclusion.
