Initially, the committee had planned to make a final decision on Sunday after hearing the 17 nominated ambassadors, but the session was postponed due to a House of Representatives meeting.

Following the ambassadorial hearings, the committee consulted with Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, particularly focusing on concerns about the inclusiveness of the ambassadorial selections.

Additionally, legal experts were consulted on complaints lodged against nominees including Dr Netra Prasad Timalsina for Malaysia, Shankar Prasad Sharma for India, Dhan Prasad Pandit for Israel, and Kapil Shrestha for South Africa. The committee has yet to conclude the hearing on these particular cases.
