KATHMANDU, Jan 6: The Gehendra Dhimal Foundation, in collaboration with the US Embassy Kathmandu, is set to unveil ‘MUSTANG Nostalgia: A Two-Decade Odyssey,’ a panoramic photo exhibition by renowned artist Kishor Kayastha. The exhibition features 30 panoramic photographs capturing the transformation of the Mustang region over the past 20 years.
Kayastha, reflecting on his journey, said, “Mustang bhumi (land) is between heaven and earth. Mustang taught me where life lies, and where peace lies.” His work documents the region’s changing climate, urbanization, and the resilience of Mustang’s ancient traditions.

Kayastha’s work reflects his deep connection to Nepal’s landscapes and heritage, documenting the region’s changing climate, urbanization, and the resilience of Mustang’s ancient traditions.
The exhibition also highlights restoration efforts by the US Ambassadors Fund for Cultural Preservation (AFCP) in Mustang, which has funded 28 cultural heritage projects in Nepal over the past two decades, totaling over $4.54 million.
The exhibition will be open to the public from January 7 to 14 at the Nepal Art Council, Babar Mahal, Kathmandu, from 11 AM to 4 PM daily. Private viewings will be available each evening by invitation.
