BEJHAD, Feb 9: The three-kilometer Palpa Butwal road section along the Siddhartha Highway is to remain sporadically closed for the next four days beginning from today for a geological survey.

The Chidiya Khola (stream) from Dobhan along the section has been partially closed today.

According to Road Division Office Palpa’s chief Kedar Nepal, a geological study is going on here for the past two months for the construction of a tunnel and the project is funded by the Swiss Government.

Meanwhile, the Community Radio Rampur which was shut following a lightning a few days ago has resumed its regular transmission from today. The lightning damaged the transmitter, telephone and other electronic devices, bringing the broadcasting service to a halt from February 5. The service was restored from 9:00 am today.

The disruption of radio deprived the people of Gandakibensi folks of access to information. The Radio Rampur is the first community radio in the Gandakibensi area.
