Over 25 party activists, cops hurt in clash with YCL in Rukum

KATHMANDU, March 1: About 25 political activists and policemen were injured in clashes with the Maoist youth wing, Young Communist League (YCL), in Musikot, headquarters of Rukum district, Sunday afternoon, reports Radio Kantipur.



The situation in Musikot is tense and the local administration might enforce a curfew to bring the situation under control, Radio Kantipur said.



Nepali Congress (NC) district leader Nanda Bista is among 25 other activists of the NC and other political parties who have suffered serious injuries.



Police fired one round of gunfire in the air during the clashes.
