Narayan Neupane, general secretary of CAN, said visitors can avoid queues by purchasing tickets for the event online. CAN has partnered with e-Sewa - an online payment service provider - to issue tickets electronically. That is not all. CAN is also offering 20 percent discount on tickets sold through its online portal.
Interested persons can purchase ticket by visiting CAN´s official website --- www.can.org.np. Upon making payment, they will get a barcode which can be printed and showed at the event venue. Entry fee for the event is Rs 100 per person.
Throughout the event, SparrowSMS -- a value-added service provider - will provide information about participating stalls and products through SMS. To make it more interesting, the official SMS partner of the event is also organizing hourly lucky draw through which it will give away attractive gift hampers.
Ramit Sharma, program coordinator at SparrowSMS, said that visitors will have to send SMS to 5001 to participate in the campaign. For example, visitors can get information about mobile phones on display at the Info-Tech by texting ´CAN (space) Mobile´ to 5001. “We believe that the mode of communication will help in identifying genuine customers for the exhibitors and will also help customers find the product of their need,” he added.
According to CAN officials, the event will have 39 stalls in branding exhibition center and 144 stalls under truss structure. It will feature Internet service providers, software solution providers, power solution providers, latest gadgets and accessories among others.
The event saw a footfall of more than 400,000 last year.
