Saroj Sitaula, senior vice president of the FNNTE, said that preparations are underway to close the booking as buses could not operate due to the recent natural disaster caused by incessant rains.
He said that the booking will be closed after discussions with the government today. The vehicles that departed at 2 PM yesterday are still at Swayambhu, Kalanki, and Nagdhunga, he added. He said that the FNNTE would hold a meeting today to address this issue with the government.
The floods and landslides that occurred on Saturday have caused significant damage at many places in the country, including the Kathmandu Valley. It has become difficult to operate vehicles, due to damage to roads and bridges.
Although vehicles have been operating from Kathmandu buspark since Monday, they have not been able to reach their destinations. Araniko Highway has been closed.
