Motorcyclist Devi Rai (35) of Beltar-1 in Udaypur died in the accident after his motorcycle collided with the cyclist while he was heading to Beltar from Itahari in Sunsari. He died on the way to hospital.
Pillion rider Renuka Shrestha (20) of Neltar and cyclist Suksagar Sah of Portaha-4 were injured in the incident and they are being treated in Dharan.
Meanwhile, Saptari police have arrested Dubilal Yadav of Singaun VDC-1 who had been absconding after killing his wife. He was arrested while withdrawing money from Rajbiraj-based Rastriya Banijya Bank branch. He had thrashed his wife Santoliya Devi to death on charge of cooking food late while he was plowing land nearly a month ago.
