Oli, Dahal discuss party unity, govt formation

KATHMANDU, Dec 27: CPN-UML and CPN (Maoist Center) have held a meeting at Balkot in Baktapur on Wednesday.


According to soruces, UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Maoist Center Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal discussed current political deadlock, party unity and new government formation in the meeting.

In the meeting, both the leaders have agreed to expedite party unification process by creating conducive environment. The party unity coordination committee will take place tomorrow to this effect. 


The meeting between the two party heads began at 1:15 pm.


Dahal who had reached Chitwan had returned to Kathmandu on Tuesday. UML and Maoist Center, who had forged electoral alliance in the parliamentary and provincial elections held recently, had decided to unity after the elections.
