BANGKOK Sept 5: Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), Thailand has awarded as many as 105 people and organizations organizing Thailand-Nepal Friendship Reception on Thursday.
Chairman of NRNA Thailand, Khagendra Raj Dhakal said that the program was organized to accolade the positive relation between Nepal and Thai people, hoping that the program would be helpful to make the bond stronger and long lasting, Dhakal, who has been leading NRNA, Thailand, said he has been stressing on people-to-people diplomacy.
Dhakal said that it was finally possible after three years to gather and awarding Nepali friends who have been selflessly helping the association.
He was of the opinion that cultural, spiritual and commercial relations are the major bases behind the closeness between Nepali and Thai people.
Dhakal, who is also a professor at King Mongkut's University of Technology, North Bangkok said, “When public level relation becomes strong, diplomatic relation gets stronger.”
