Nepal Embassy in Thailand hosts tourism promotion program in Pattaya

KATHMANDU, July 14: Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok in cooperation of NRNA NCC Thailand and Thai-Nepali Association (TNA) organized a tourism promotion program in Pattaya, Thailand recently.

KATHMANDU, July 14: Embassy of Nepal in Bangkok in cooperation of NRNA NCC Thailand and Thai-Nepali Association (TNA) organized a tourism promotion program in Pattaya, Thailand recently.


The program titled “Nepal Evening 2019” was held to promote Nepal's tourism in Thailand and attract Thai investment to Nepal, according to a press release issued by the embassy.  


On the occasion, Nepal's Ambassador to Thailand, Ganesh Prasad Dhakal highlighted the various aspects of Nepal-Thailand ties. He said that the two countries can join hands in multiple fields including investment, tourism and civil aviation.


He shed light on the several policies, legal, institutional and procedural reform measures undertaken by the Government of Nepal for providing incentives and security for foreign investors in Nepal.

He requested the Thai investors to invest in Nepal in the areas of infrastructure, hydropower, agriculture, manufacturing, mines and minerals, IT, health and hospitality.


Ambassador Dhakal also requested the Thai travel/tour operators to publicize the tourism attractions of Nepal among Thai people and encourage them to visit Nepal in order to make the Visit Nepal Year 2020 successful.


Sharing about the ongoing construction of Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa, he said that the completion of this airport would provide tremendous opportunities for further promoting religious tourism between the two countries.


Rattanachai Suttidechanai, Advisor to the Mayor of Pattaya City, said that the two countries can promote bilateral cooperation in the fields of investment, tourism, trade and culture. He urged the participants to visit different parts of Nepal including Lumbini, the birthplace of the Lord Buddha.


On the occasion, Pratigya Rai, second Secretary of the Embassy of Nepal, made a presentation on Nepal's major tourist attractions.


A large number of travel/tour operators, businesspersons, media persons, and representatives of NRNA NCC Thailand and TNA attended the event.
