According to Nepal Professional Golfers Association (NPGA), the tournament will be played over 54 holes and 32 professionals as well as 25 amateurs are participating. Most participants played a practice round on Monday on the course to acclimatize with the conditions of the course. [break]

The event carries a total purse of Rs 300,000 -- raise of fifty percent from last year -- and the winner will get a check of Rs 55,000. Likewise, runner-up will get Rs 38,000 while the third place will get Rs 28,000. Others in the top 20 will also receive their share of cash prizes.
Defending champion Ramesh Nagarkoti, Nepal No 1 Shivaram Shreshta, who is just back from the completion of PGTI season, are to rub their shoulders with other top pros like Nepali Teaching Pro in Germany Sabin Sapkota, Ram Thapa, Umesh Nagarkoti, Rabi Khadka, Ramesh Adhikari and Deepak Thapa Magar.
Cut will be applied after 36 holes and top 20 pros and ties will qualify for the final round. Amateurs who make the professional cut will also play the final 18 holes.
“Our Professionals and top amateurs need platform for competition, and my support is geared toward creating a better environment for competitive golfing," said Shrestha, the NPGA president.
