KATHMANDU, Aug 31: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the prices of petrol, diesel and aviation fuels based on the new price lists that the corporation received from its supplier Indian Oil Corporation.
According to the NOC, it reduced the price of petrol by Rs 2 per liter, while the prices of diesel and kerosene are each lowered by Rs 1 per liter. At the revised rate, petrol will now cost Rs 163 per liter in the Kathmandu Valley, Pokhara and Dipayal regions.

Likewise, the NOC has reduced the price of aviation fuel used in domestic flights by Rs 5 per liter. The fuel will now cost Rs 132 per liter.
Similarly, the rate of aviation fuel used for international flights has been decreased by US $37 per kiloliter. The price of this fuel is now US $1,005 per kiloliter in Kathmandu. It will cost USD 905 per kiloliter for the international flights to be conducted from Pokhara and Bhairahawa international airports.
The price of cooking gas however has been left unchanged. According to the NOC, the new prices of petroleum products will come into effect from Saturday midnight.
