Stating that the secretariat of former King Gyanendra and Nirmal Niwas had interfered in the recently concluded RPP General Convention, Thapa has condemned the interference. Thapa has demanded Lingden to form a committee to investigate as well as condemn the interference of Nirmal Niwas.
Thapa said that he would be committed to party unity if a committee was formed to investigate the interference of former King Gyanendra. He also said that the moral ground of RPP carrying the king has ended.
Similarly, he also said that the basic values related to the monarchy have been seriously damaged. In the letter, he said, “The recent actions of Nirmal Niwas have at once destroyed the basis and heritage of my values and beliefs.”
