NFA to be dissolved<br/>Footballers' body reconstituted

KATHMANDU, July 20: The dual regime in the country´s football sector is set to end in a few days as the National Sports Council (NSC) is all prepared to annul Nepal Football Association (NFA), a football body parallel to All Nepal Football Association (ANFA). [break]



Now two associations are not necessary in football as the dispute has already been resolved, said NSC member secretary Jeevan Ram Shrestha. The two footballing bodies had earlier signed a seven-point agreement to end their dispute.





Footballers´ body reconstituted



KATHMANDU, July 20: The All Nepal Football Players´ Association has been reconstituted reformed ahead of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) elections.



A 17-member ad-hoc committee was formed under the leadership of former national football player Upendra Man Singh. The new ANFA statute has a provision for three representatives from the players to the ANFA general assembly.





New panel formed



KATHMANDU, July 20: A 15-member Kalikot District Football Association has been formed under the leadership of Suman Bahadur Shahi.



According to a press release issued by the Mid-western Regional Sports Development Committee on Monday, Santosh BK and Deepak Shahi are the vice-presidents in the new panel formed with the objective of developing football in Kalikot district.



Keshav Shahi and Bhawana Shahi are the general secretary and treasurer respectively, while Suman Bista, Prakash Shahi, Kabindra Shahi, Kamal Yogi, Ashok Giri, Jeevan Shahi, Pahal Man Bam, Laxmi Baral and Prem Bahadur Bam are the members in the new committee.
