The AFC and FIFA have both objected to the voting rights given to football clubs and district football associations in the amended statute. The amendment accords 3 votes each to district football associations and A division clubs, 2 votes to B division clubs and 1 vote for C division clubs. The AFC and FIFA feel that the amended statute bestows power unevenly among the parties concerned.
NFA president Bijaya Manandhar, General Secretary Indra Man Tuladhar, member Dibakar Ghale and Rajendra Adhikari are attending the meeting with the AFC officials. ANFA president Ganesh Thapa is already in Kuala Lumpur attending the congress.
